Israel fires: Tens of thousands escape as blazes hit Haifa
An immense number of people are being exhausted from their homes as quickly spreading fires fume through parts of the Israeli city of Haifa.
Huge bursts are being fanned by hot, dry winds in nearby areas in the north of the city of around 300,000.
Blazes are in like manner undermining homes close Jerusalem and in the West Bank.
A cleric has said that half of the flares were “obviously arsonist tendencies”, yet police have not asserted that any had been started deliberately.
A few military reservists have been rung to battle the three-day scene of blazes.

In Haifa, schools, kindergartens, the school and an old people’s home were cleared.
Tenants stacked up general store trolleys with things and fled their homes, the Associated Press news office reports.
